Roma prepare new project focused on scouting and long-term investments

Roma are said to be preparing a major revolution of the summer.

In the final days of the January window, the capital club are in talks to complete two more signings – in the form of Angelino and Tommaso Baldanzi – and secure some outgoing transfers with Marash Kumbulla and Zeki Celik destined to leave Roma.

On the other hand, Leggo reports that Roma’s top management – with the exception of Tiago Pinto who will leave his post as General Manager in February – have began preparations for a new project to be launched in the summer.

The newspaper claims Roma want to make a 180 degree turn-around from their current situation – in order to cut costs and slash the wage bill considerably, Roma will not renew most loans and will focus on scouting as their main priority.

With the introduction of a new sporting director, President Dan Friedkin will emphasize the need for long-term investments in young players with potential; the prime example of this being 20-year-old Tommaso Baldanzi of Empoli who could soon complete a move to the Italian capital.
