Katraj, 13th July 2024: A gang took over a 25-guntha plot and bungalow belonging to an elderly woman while she was visiting her daughter in the United States of America (USA). The gang entered the bungalow by scaling the boundary wall and forcibly breaking the lock to gain entry. Upon the woman’s return from America, the gang threatened her with death if she tried to reclaim her property.
A case has been filed against Dahalat Gaikwad, Amar Pawar, Ramesh Pawar, Rakesh Bhan, and Manoj Kamble at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station. The complaint was lodged by a 69-year-old woman residing in Katraj.
Her husband, who passed away in 2005, had purchased 25 gunthas of land in 1993, where a bungalow was constructed in 2004. During their work tenure in Dubai, they hired a man named Vilas Sasane to manage the property. Following her husband’s demise, she occasionally visited Pune from the USA with her daughter.
On 12th June, while visiting her daughter in the USA, Vilas Sasane informed her that a group of eight to nine women had illegally entered the bungalow premises by force, breaking the lock. Concerned, she returned to Pune on 26th June with all relevant documents.
Upon her arrival at the bungalow, the women and their accomplices forcefully ejected her from the premises. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the acquisition was based on fraudulent documents. Assistant Police Inspector Mithun Pardeshi is handling the investigation.
