The hotel is located just off Cahaba Valley Road, a high-traffic stretch between Interstate 65 and Pelham Parkway that is lined with several lodging options, including Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites. A former Travelodge property nearby was demolished in 2024.
The acquisition comes as Pelham continues to see growth and redevelopment activity, particularly near the former Oak Mountain Amphitheatre site.
City leaders are actively working to transform the 43-acre property through the “ReAmp: Reimagine OMA” project, a mixed-use redevelopment effort aimed at creating a destination centered on community gathering spaces, connectivity and entertainment.
Pelham purchased the amphitheater site in July 2025 for $5.3 million and has since begun seeking a master developer to guide the project. Plans for the site include features such as a central green space, pedestrian and biking infrastructure, landscaped boulevards and connections to nearby amenities, including the Pelham Civic Complex and Oak Mountain State Park.
The broader area has already seen new investment in recent years, including The Canopy at Oak Mountain, a 40-acre mixed-use development featuring retail space and residential units.
City officials have described the redevelopment of the former amphitheater property as a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to shape Pelham’s future, and nearby commercial activity—including hotel investment—reflects growing interest in the corridor.
