“Vivek opened his campaign with a bold vision to eliminate property tax.”
We already have the legislators in place, but we need a governor leading the charge to make that dream a reality.

Watch: Ramaswamy holds gubernatorial campaign rally in New Albany
Vivek Ramaswamy holds a campaign rally in New Albany after announcing his run for Ohio Governor on Feb. 24, 2025.
State Representative Ron Ferguson, R-Wintersville, is serving his third term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He is chair of the Freedom Caucus, a Club for Growth Fellow and national director for Young Americans for Liberty’s Hazlitt Coalition.
Start by electing truthtellers if you want truth in American politics.
I’ve never met Vivek Ramaswamy’s wife, Apoorva, but she spoke a few powerful words that need to be repeated, “He will be the best governor this state has ever seen.”
Apoorva knows this because she knows who Vivek is, and I know it because I know who Ohio needs. That’s truth.
I’ll explain.
Special interests, unelected bureaucrats and the deep state have rigged the game against everyday Ohioans. I see it every day in the halls of the statehouse.
Common sense, America first policy is the last thing the political class wants, and to beat the insiders, you need an outsider.
Spending five years in office as an outsider taking on Ohio’s corrupt system has shown me the depths of the American nightmare—but I can also see the peak of the mountain.
we need committed Ohioans
At the top, there’s a light, and it will guide Ohio out of the darkness that has stifled its success for decades. But reaching the top will take Ohioans from all walks of life—Republicans, forgotten Reagan Democrats, libertarians, and independents—to unite against the crooked establishment.
We need committed Ohioans who are tired of a government that blocks their path to the American Dream instead of clearing it.
As an outsider, I’ve seen victories despite the odds.
One example: Starting in April, Ohio hospitals will be required to disclose their prices in clear, straightforward dollars and cents.
No longer will patients be left in the dark, hit with crippling medical debt because hospitals hid behind complicated algorithms and vague estimates. I authored the bill that will guarantee you those prices, modeled after President Trump’s executive order.
It is a marquee win for Ohio families, but getting there felt like pushing a boulder up a hill. Special interests deployed armies of lobbyists to stop this common-sense reform. If you want a defender against the healthcare cartel, you need a governor like Vivek Ramaswamy.
Free market healthcare reform was just the beginning. My next big reform is the Ohio REINS Act, which is designed to rewire the corrupt system of unelected bureaucrats to truly work for the people of Ohio.
In true America First fashion, Vivek supports the federal REINS Act saying, “(it) codifies the basic idea of a democracy: the people we elect to make the laws should be the ones who actually make the laws.” He understands the need for structural change to dismantle the power of the deep state and restore accountability.
Ohio can abolish property taxes
Now, I’m embarking on one of my biggest reforms yet: the abolition of property tax in Ohio. None of us truly own our homes; we only rent them from Uncle Sam.
Ohio can become the first state in the nation to dissolve property tax, but we need a governor who is courageous enough to lead us to the finish line. Vivek opened his campaign with a bold vision to eliminate property tax.
We already have the legislators in place, but we need a governor leading the charge to make that dream a reality.
The state legislature has a strong block of freedom fighters, and together, we’ve already battled the political class to a standstill.
But if we add the decisive leadership of Governor Ramaswamy, we can send the entrenched political establishment face-first into the mud.
And that’s the truth.
