Student Allegedly Damages Turning Point USA Sign at University of Oklahoma

A student allegedly damaged a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) sign at the University of Oklahoma, according to a post shared by the university’s chapter on Wednesday, October 15.

Video captured by the chapter shows a member saying, “Bro, you can’t just take our signs,” followed by, “Why are you destroying our property?” as a student walks by holding a sign and drops it next to a trash bin.

Turning Point was scheduled to host an event featuring British comedian Russell Brand, reality TV star Savannah Chrisley, and Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt on October 16.

An off-camera voice says, “He didn’t destroy anything. I saw him.”

A female student then joins the exchange, saying, “It looks like it’s [the sign] promoting a rapist on there. And as a woman, I cannot believe you are all down with that. That’s so embarrassing for y’all.”

In May, Brand pleaded not guilty to rape charges brought by four women in the UK.

A TPUSA member responds, “It’s embarrassing you feel the need to destroy our property in front of our faces.”

Another TPUSA member interjects, questioning why she is restricting their freedom of speech by removing signs promoting their organization.

The TPUSA members then accuse her of being violent toward them. She calls them “Nazis” before walking away. Credit: Turning Point USA at University of Oklahoma via Storyful
