
Detectives have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed inside a property in Ayr.
Emergency services were called to Davidson Place around 3.30pm on Thursday June 13, following reports that a man had been seriously assaulted.
A 57-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains for treatment.

Extensive enquiries are underway as officers work to establish the full circumstances of how he came by his injuries.

Detective Constable Stewart Gordon said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to consider if they noticed or saw anything suspicious.
“Any small detail could help us, so please pass it on. I’d also ask anyone with dash cam or doorbell recording equipment to check their footage for any images which could assist our investigation.”
