BlackRock reported a strong second quarter, with assets under management rising to a record $15.34 trillion, driven by buoyant markets and robust inflows into its iShares ETF business. Net inflows stood at $192 billion, significantly higher than the previous year, while shares rose more than 7%.

Adjusted earnings came in at $13.91 per share, beating Street estimates of $12.59, with margins expanding to a near five-year high of 45.9%. The performance was broad-based, supported by equity and fixed-income inflows as market sentiment improved.

The firm is also accelerating its push into private markets, investing heavily in infrastructure and private credit. Despite regulatory scrutiny, BlackRock reported stable credit quality and continues to target $400 billion in fundraising in the segment between 2025 and 2030. Read more
