Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Sensex rose 776 points to 76,836, while the Nifty gained 229 points to 23,996. The Nifty Bank index advanced 394 points to 57,087, and the Midcap index climbed 681 points to 62,304. Market breadth remained firmly positive, with the advance-decline ratio at 2:1.

Financial stocks, particularly non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), were among the biggest gainers, tracking moves in the rupee and crude oil. Auto stocks also witnessed buying interest as crude prices fell 10% from Friday’s levels.
The decline in crude oil supported crude-linked sectors, with oil marketing companies (OMCs) and airline stocks gaining, while upstream oil companies traded lower.
Among individual stocks, KFin Technologies surged more than 10% after its positive commentary for FY27. CONCOR climbed 7% after doubling its volume guidance for FY27.
IDFC Bank, AU Small Finance Bank and Lodha gained 5-6% as investors reacted positively to their June quarter earnings.
IT stocks extended Friday’s gains, with Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) rising 4% and Coforge adding 2% ahead of its earnings.
On the downside, Exide Industries and Nuvama Wealth Management declined as both stocks are set to exit the futures and options (F&O) segment from Wednesday.
Bank of India was among the top losers in the midcap space after reporting an in-line June quarter performance.
