Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are in the second half of this Sensex weekly expiry session, and the markets are under pressure again, as the Nifty index falls close to 50 points, falling below 24,350. The Nifty bank index is taking a heavier blow, down over 300 points. Grasim, Ultratech and Hindalco are the top laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Dalal Street has entered the second half of the day’s trade, and the markets are looking to make some recovery after falling and extending losses in the first half.
The markets are under pressure. But the indices have recovered the low point of the day. The Nifty is falling towards the 24,400 mark after falling over 40 points. The Sensex is now up over 200 points, rising to the 78,000 mark.
For the Nifty, 24,500 remains that one level to conquer on the upside. Wednesday’s low of 24,265 will be key to defend on the downside.
Having underperformed for the better part of the last two weeks, the Nifty Bank finally stepped up in mid-week trading, closing near 58,000.
Crossing and sustaining above 58,000 will be positive for the banking bulls, and they would hope the PSU banking pack outperforms again as it did on Wednesday.
