Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: Benchmark indices ended higher on Wednesday but trimmed gains from intraday highs, with frontline stocks outperforming the broader market. The Sensex rose 609 points to close at 77,496, while the Nifty gained 182 points to settle above 24,150. Gains were led by ITC, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki and Coal India.

Among stocks, Bandhan Bank surged 11% after a strong Q4 performance, while Vedanta gained nearly 5% post results. Reliance Industries extended gains for a third straight session, rising 3%.
On the downside, BPCL declined over 1% as Brent crude prices surged near $115 per barrel. Federal Bank slipped sharply from intraday highs despite strong earnings, while Dr Reddy’s Laboratories fell 2% even after receiving Health Canada approval for Semaglutide.
