Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are at the halfway mark of the first of trade of this new and the new day, new rule, has not resulted in a different outcome, as the markets move on an underwhelming note. The Nifty is down and is falling towards 23,7500. The Nifty bank is also under pressure, falling 300 points, dropping towards 57,000. Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro are the top laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and this Monday session has not changed much, even as we trade into the second half of the day. The Nifty is under pressure yet again, and new rules in a new week do not appear to have brought about a change in fortunes at Dalal Street. The Nifty is red, falling towards the 23,750 mark. The Sensex is also down, falling marginally to 76,500.
The Nifty 50 comes to this trade after four straight weeks of losses.
Now, bulls will aim to reclaim and sustain above the mark of 24,000, which can be seen as the first positive. The second aim will be to defend last week’s low of 23,786, in case any dip emerges during the intraday session.
A dampener in sentiment is that crude oil prices continue to remain elevated, with Brent now heading back towards the $ 100-a-barrel mark. For the Nifty Bank, it remains locked in the 57,000 – 58,000 range, although defending 57,000 will be key as it has not closed below that level since July 29.
