Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Wednesday’s are generally trending days in the market and bulls will be comforted by the fact that despite the 150-plus-point fall on the weekly expiry session, the 24,000 mark was protected on the Nifty. The question is, for how long? Indian IT stocks may react today to IBM’s 25% plunge overnight, which led to a 3-4% drop in ADRs of both Infosys and Wipro.

Banking stocks will also be in focus as the Nifty Bank closed below the 57,500 mark, although no further escalation in West Asia could soothe some frayed nerves.

Oil prices still remain above $80, even though they are off Tuesday’s high. The Nifty range remains the same as 24,000, followed by 23,800 remain major supports on the downside, and 24,250 – 24,350 levels remain an important supply zone.

The Nifty Bank also remains locked in the 57,500 – 58,500 range. Earnings season begins to pick-up pace starting today with LTTS, Tata Elxsi, Anand Rathi shares reacting to their results, and Angel One, HDB Financial, HDFC AMC, HDFC Life, ICICI Lombard, Union Bank, among others reporting their results today.
