Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The bulls have travelled to the halfway mark of the Sensex expiry session’s trade, and the markets are now on a recovery path after being under pressure amid the rising tensions in the Persian Gulf. The Nifty is up over 100 points, reaching for the 23,400 mark. The Nifty Bank is also up, rising over 450 points. HCLTech, Infosys and Trent are the top laggards.
The markets are undoing the losses after being under pressure as the geopolitical tensions strain the bulls further. The Nifty is up about 100 points, rising towards 23,400. The Sensex is also up, rising over 350 points, dropping to 74,400.
Today is the weekly expiry of all Sensex contracts. For the Nifty, the recent lows of 23,070 come into play again after the breakout sold off between the 23,450 – 23,500 levels, which remain the key resistance on the upside. Analysts maintain that any drop below the 23,070 low could take the index down to 22,800 – 22,700 levels.
The Nifty Bank is also under pressure; however, it is still better off than the frontline indices. The banking index is up over 450 points; the Nifty Bank has broken out of its range.
