Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Today is the weekly options expiry session of the Nifty 50 contracts, and while the index has successfully managed to defend 24,500 on the downside in case of any dips, it has not managed to either breakout of the range, or retest those 24,800 levels that it had surged to last Monday, which was the first day of the Closing Auction Session (CAS).

The market will be encountering a rebound in crude oil prices, with Brent climbing past $87 a barrel yet again. The Nifty Bank too, continues to trade in a narrow range, unable to break past 58,000 on the upside, and managing to defend 57,500 on the lower end. Action though, lies in the broader markets as the last few result reactions trickle in, and the market breadth remains on the positive side.

Today’s session will also see stock-specific activity as the index only comes into play during the final few minutes of the session. Watch out for the Adani Group stocks today after the recent US developments. Also keep an eye on the new NSE indices entrants, particularly BSE, which will now be a Nifty 50 stock, and Wipro, which will be excluded.
