The Nifty is now at the higher end of the 1,000-point trading range in the recent past. Sustaining above 24,200 will be the key for a move back to 24,500 levels. On the downside, the bulls would hope that 24,000 does not break in case of any increased volatility. The India VIX closing below 20 is another positive. For the Nifty Bank, 56,500 – 56,800 levels on the upside provide to be a barrier on Wednesday and that will be an important band to watch. Keep an eye on earnings reactions from HDB Financial, Tejas Networks and ICICI Lombard, while Wipro, HDFC Life, Angel One, HDFC AMC, CRISIL, and VST Industries will also report results.
