Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are at the halfway mark of the first day of trade, and the markets are trading in a volatile space, as the Nifty index remains cautious. The index is looking to hold onto the 24,500 mark. The Nifty Bank is also under pressure, down 100 points. SBI, Adani Ports and HDFC Life are the top laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After a slow start, the markets are looking to scale higher levels, as the bulls move further in the second half of the day’s trade. The markets are trying to hold onto key levels. The Nifty is trading on a cautious note, trying to hold onto the 24,600 mark. The Sensex is also up, ticking by over 100 points, rising to 78,600.
The Nifty holding 24,500 on the downside could be considered positive as it could indicate the formation of a base, and the bulls would want the index to hold on to those levels.
The Nifty Bank is consistently facing supply at the 58,000 mark on the upside, but has managed to defend 57,500 regularly as well. The index would aim to break out from this 500 to 700-point range.
Keep an eye on crude with Brent back at $85 a barrel.
The first quarter results season is set to end this week. The final set of companies is set to report their numbers this week. The Nifty though, has been fairly range-bound, as the index and the market adjust to the CAS rules.
