Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: The markets cannot seem to catch a break, as the final day of this trucated seems no, different, dipped in red. The Nifty is down, falling towards the 22,500 mark. The Nifty bank is making an exception, rising over 250 points, jumping above 54,400. Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra and Apollo Hospital are the biggest laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: The markets are under pressure, falling further. The Nifty is now down, falling below the 22,550 mark. The Sensex is down over 150 points, falling to 72,300. Today is the last trading session of this truncated week and it has been yet another forgettable one for the Nifty 50. The index is now set for its eighth straight weekly loss.
Today is also the weekly expiry of the Sensex contracts. The Nifty has declined all three days of the week, and the index is now fighting to hold this week’s low of 22,569. On the upside, supply continues to emerge at the 22,800 – 22,750 zone.
Auto sales so far have been underwhelming, with Bajaj Auto falling 7% after its sales numbers.
December contracts of Brent Crude are below $100 a barrel, but bond yields sold off sharply yet again overnight on Wall Street. Watch for its impact on our own yields and the currency as well.
