An outline application seeking the construction of 70 residential dwellings at land adjacent to Woodlands Cottage, Oxhey Lane in Watford has been approved at yesterdays Three Rivers District Council Planning Committee meeting.
The proposal initially saw refusal in August, however it came forward again after changes to the NPPF were made, meaning the site was re-assessed as being Grey Belt rather than Green Belt – which was initially the reason for refusal.
Upon resubmission the scheme had gathered 49 objections, with no comments of support .
Councillors voted for approval with five in favour, three against, and one abstaining, compared to the August vote where it was five against four to pass the refusal decision.
