Police confirm outcome of drugs warrant executed at property


THE outcome of a drugs warrant executed by officers has been revealed.

Cheshire Police has confirmed that officers conducted a drugs raid at an address on Chester Road in Latchford last week.

Following suspicions being raised by the community regarding drug dealing in the area, officers attended the property at around 7.20am on Friday.

A man was arrested on suspicion of the simple possession of cannabis and handed a community resolution.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 7.20am on Friday, May 22, officers in Warrington conducted a warrant at an address on Chester Road, Latchford.

“Following the warrant, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the possession of class B drugs, namely cannabis.

“He was subsequently handed a community resolution.

“The warrant followed reports of drug usage in the area.”

The force’s Warrington Police team added: “You told us about drug dealing in the Latchford area.

“Neighbourhood officers conducted a positive warrant, where drugs were recovered, and the offender has been dealt with.

“If you report it, we will deal with it.”
