Prince Harry has lifted the lid about his royal exit, revealing he slipped into a two-week depression after moving to Canada with Meghan Markle.
Speaking during an appearance on MasterClass, the Duke of Sussex explained that leaving the high-pressure royal environment triggered an unexpected physical and emotional crash.
“Being in Canada, away from the stressful environment where presumably my body was just pumped full of adrenaline, within two or three days, I experienced this adrenaline crash, something that I’d never experienced before,” the 42-year-old recalled.

The royal admitted the sudden lack of pressure left him unable to handle basic tasks around the house.
“It was as if I needed stress in order to get the adrenaline to make my brain function because I became useless,” he explained.
“I actually slipped into depression for about two weeks and I felt like I couldn’t function without adrenaline.”
Harry and Meghan stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020.
The couple and their son Prince Archie spent time in Canada to get “some space away from everything just to be able to think” before establishing a base in California.
The candid confession comes as reports emerge that the couple, along with Archie and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, have relocated to the UK while holding onto their Montecito estate.
According to sources, the family is currently staying in the spare room of a friend’s Cotswolds mansion while searching for a permanent British residence.
The move marks their first semi-permanent return to Britain since being forced to surrender Frogmore Cottage in Windsor in 2023.
However, the house hunt comes with strict demands.
Meghan is reportedly seeking a lavish nine-bedroom UK estate to match their California home, complete with a private filming studio as she prepares to return to acting.
Meanwhile, Harry is prioritising privacy, hunting for a property with extensive land and no public footpaths.
The Sussexes have reportedly been eyeing a $US16.2m ($A24.5m) estate, though no deal has been finalised.
