Two independent estate agencies in Shropshire have merged to form Mannleys Group, with the combined business planning regional expansion and further acquisitions across the Midlands.
Mannleys and Samuel Wood have combined their operations across Shrewsbury, Telford, Ludlow and surrounding areas. The merged entity will operate from four offices and additional hubs covering Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and gateway markets into the wider Midlands.
Structure and branding
The new leadership team comprises Samuel Wood co-directors Russell Griffin and Andrew Cadwallader, alongside Mannleys co-directors Aaron Manley and Chris Mann. Both firms will maintain separate brand identities, with the business trading as Mannleys in Telford, Mannleys with Samuel Wood in Shrewsbury, and Samuel Wood with Mannleys in Ludlow and South Shropshire.
The merger comes as property listings rise across England, potentially creating opportunities for agencies with expanded regional coverage. Both businesses expect to recruit additional staff as the group grows.
Service expansion
The combined operation will extend lettings and property management services across the region, with increased investment planned for marketing and technology infrastructure. According to the directors, the merger aims to increase buyer and tenant reach across the county.
Chris Mann stated that both businesses share similar values and a commitment to service. Andrew Cadwallader said the merger creates a platform for future acquisitions and continued growth across Shropshire and neighbouring areas.
