New figures from property website Zoopla show that homes in the district took 58 days to sell as of July 2026.
This places South Norfolk ninth on the list of slowest-selling areas in the country.
Zoopla said the national average time to sell remains at 42 days, but there is a widening gap between faster and slower markets, with around half of areas seeing an increase in selling times compared to last year.
Richard Donnell, executive director at Zoopla, said: “While the national time to sell has barely moved, that stability is masking a real divide opening up between local markets.
“In areas like Melton in Leicestershire, homes are taking noticeably longer to sell than a year ago, while markets just a short drive away are speeding up.”
Zoopla attributed the slower sales in some areas to higher mortgage rates, which have prompted more buyers to adopt a “wait and see” approach, impacting many regional and local markets.
