Wayfair’s “Tiny Ranch Home” Can Boost Your Property Value—and It’s Over $2,000 Off This Week

If you follow House Beautiful, you already know we have a soft spot for clever DIY builds—particularly the ones our readers can turn into warm, customized retreats. A few standouts we’ve loved include a charming cottage and the “Boardroom,” your own private, WFH spot. This week, while scouting for more distinctive tiny homes, we came across a find that Jackson Hole admirers will definitely notice: Wayfair’s “Ranchhouse” Cedar Wood Storage Shed. And in case you missed it, it’s on major sale right now for over $2,000 off!
Designed by Cedarshed, “Ranchhouse” features a fully Western Red Cedar exterior and includes pre-assembled walls, two windows, double doors, and roof panels to simplify the building process. The structure spans 16 feet across and reaches roughly 10 feet tall, giving you enough height to step inside comfortably without feeling cramped. Like many tiny homes sold on Wayfair, this water-resistant model comes with thoughtful extras, including a flower box, ventilation, and flooring. It also qualifies for free shipping, which is a major perk.
We’re already thinking of all the ways one can spruce up this tiny ranch home once it is built. Since there’s a little porch area out front, you can add a small bistro table (we like this one from Amazon) to create some seating. It would be a nice spot to read, sip your morning coffee, or hang out with your neighbor over a glass of wine. Once inside, you have about 1,216.75 cubic feet of space to work with. If you want to turn this into an extension of a living room, you can certainly add a sofa, some accent chairs, and a coffee table. This shed could become a painter’s studio for the creatives, while for the fitness gurus, this tiny home could be your own quiet workout space.
As ADUs become more popular (they can boost your home’s value!), we can’t imagine a better place to start than with a ranch-style build. Of course, this look might not suit everyone’s design eye, and we totally get that.
