A historic Buckinghamshire property featured in the latest series of Netflix’s The Gentlemen, according to a report by Town & Country magazine.
The publication’s guide to the show’s filming locations revealed that Stoke Court in Stoke Poges was used for several interior scenes in the crime drama created by filmmaker Guy Ritchie.
While the exterior of the fictional Halstead Manor was filmed at Badminton House in Gloucestershire, Town & Country reports that Stoke Court provided the setting for several interior scenes.
These included the study where one of the series’ most memorable confrontations takes place, as well as scenes shot in the boot room, drawing room and orangery.

According to information published by Stoke Poges Parish Council, the history of Stoke Court has been traced back to 1455 and there was occupation at the site before that.
The house is also associated with poet Thomas Gray, who spent part of his childhood there. According to the parish council, he is thought to have written his have written ‘Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard’ and ‘Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton’ while he was at the house.
The Gentlemen follows Duke Eddie Horniman, played by Theo James, as he unexpectedly inherits his late father’s country estate – which is home to an underground cannabis empire.
It is a spin-off from Ritchie’s blockbuster of the same name, which tells the story of an American drug lord looking to sell his cannabis empire in England.
