Prediction: A $1,000 Investment in TSMC Stock Will More Than Double by 2030. Here’s Why You Should Buy It Before Oct. 15.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE:TSM), popularly known as TSMC, has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the global chip boom, primarily due to its position as the largest semiconductor foundry that manufactures chips for major consumer electronics companies and chip designers that serve multiple end markets.

TSMC has capitalized on the artificial intelligence (AI) boom in recent years, thanks mainly to its advanced process nodes, which enable customers to manufacture cutting-edge chips. Not surprisingly, TSMC stock has gained nearly 384% over the past three years, outperforming the 246% gain in the PHLX Semiconductor Sector index over the same period.

Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a “Double Down” signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same “Total Conviction” signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »

I won’t be surprised to see this semiconductor stock head higher after it releases its third-quarter results on Oct. 15. Let’s look at the reasons why TSMC is primed for more upside, potentially doubling by 2030.

TSMC’s accelerating growth suggests that its bull run is far from over

This has been a strong year for TSMC. The company’s revenue has increased by 41% in the first nine months of 2026, suggesting it is on track to exceed its 2025 revenue growth of 36%.

Notably, TSMC’s revenue growth has accelerated in recent months. Its September revenue increased nearly 55% from the same month in 2025, while August 2026 revenue was up by 53% over the same month last year. TSMC’s Q3 revenue increased by 50% from the same period last year to $46.71 billion, beating estimates and exceeding the company’s guidance range of $44.6 billion to $45.8 billion.

What’s more, the company’s net profit is expected to increase by 64% from the year-ago period, as noted by Reuters. In fact, Reuters points out that TSMC is on track to report its sixth consecutive quarter of record profits due to the huge investments in AI infrastructure. The good part is that the AI infrastructure boom is far from over.

Nvidia, for instance, expects to double its chip sales next year. On the other hand, Advanced Micro Devices expects it can substantially boost supply in 2027, as it sees strong demand for advanced chips driven by AI. Both Nvidia and AMD are TSMC’s customers.

As a result, it is easy to see why TSMC is reportedly planning to increase the production capacity of its advanced chip nodes next year. Market research firm TrendForce reports that TSMC’s 2-nanometer (nm) chip production capacity could jump 22% by mid-2027 compared to the end of 2026. Additionally, the semiconductor giant is reportedly planning a 16% increase in 3nm production capacity over the same period.
