Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is the start of the new F&O series and the Nifty bulls would look to make amends after a sluggish July. The index went nowhere on expiry day and would aim to breakout from the 85-point range that it found itself stuck in.

A narrow, range-bound session means no significant change in the index range, which remains between 23,800 on the downside and 24,000 on the upper end, before moving to last week’s high of 24,260.

The Nifty IT index has kept the Nifty afloat across Monday and Tuesday with the index set for its best month in six years. The moves in IT has led to the Nifty Bank taking a backseat, as it struggles for momentum. The index now finds itself in a 56,500 – 57,500 range. Crude oil prices are staging a minor rebound this morning after three days of steep losses.

Today is also a big day in terms of results as nearly 60 companies come out with numbers. L&T could well be the result reaction of the day, followed by brokerage reactions to Avenue Supermarts, HUL, Varun Beverages and others. Keep an eye on Asian Paints, Adani Ports, MTAR Tech, KPIT Tech and others as well.
