Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: We are the last half the week’s trade, and the Indian markets are trading on a cautious note. The Nifty is looking to close the week in green, and is trading around 24,300. The Nifty Bank is trying to hold it together, now up around 100 points, moving around 57,250. TCS, Infosys and Wipro are the top laggards.
The markets are feeling some pressure after what has been a remarkable week so far. The index is likely to close the week in the green; however, it, Nifty is trading with caution, moving around 24,400. The Sensex is also in the same territory, having slipped from early gains, moving around 78,000.
The Nifty has crossed the first hurdle of crossing the July 17 high of 24,367 and bulls will now aim for 24,500. On the downside, the bulls have defended 24,000 for two days in a row and would want that intact today as well, even the 24,200 mark.
IT stocks are under immense pressure.
For the Nifty Bank, the index still finds itself stuck in a range with supply emerging at the 57,500 mark. The index is still largely flat, trading with gains of a meagrely 50 points.
Results continue unabated as multiple names react to results, while names like Maruti, ITC, Sun Pharma report today. The street will watch for the extreme earnings reactions, particularly in the broader markets.
