Jason Hardman joined the firm in 2006, and spent 20 years in CBRE’s valuation business, including leading the living valuation team.
He was appointed head of UK living sector in June 2025, connecting the agency’s residential businesses, including capital, land, affordable and consumer sectors.
Mr Hardman’s work encompassed build-to-rent, single-family housing, strategic land and urban land, affordable housing, student, co-living and senior living.
He wrote on LinkedIn: “After 20 years, the time has come for me to leave CBRE. It’s been a great ride, plenty of highlights, too many to mention here.
“When I arrived in July 2006, it was a step into the unknown and I couldn’t have imagined the good things that were to come. To those who have influenced and supported me, both colleagues and clients, thank you, you know who you are.
“For now, I have the luxury of spending time with family and loved ones, contemplating what’s next, enjoying the South Downs countryside and being either on or in the water.”
Mr Hardman is a member of the British Property Federation Living Sectors Council. In January 2025, he was elected as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Governing Council to promote diversity in the chartered surveyor profession.
Earlier this month, Inside Housing Living revealed that CBRE will be carrying out a valuation of a third of Heylo Group’s homes ahead of a planned sale by administrators.
CBRE will provide a valuation for 3,450 homes owned by two of four Heylo investment vehicles that collapsed in March. The valuation is crucial to estimate how much the creditors will be repaid after the homes are sold to new owners.
In May, CBRE’s investment arm launched a fund with build-to-rent landlord Moda Living to build thousands of single-family rental homes across the UK.
