Murder investigation launched in Deal after man dies from serious head injury at property in Pilots Avenue
A murder investigation has been launched after a man in his 60s was found dead inside a house.
Police were called at around 10.05am this morning to Pilots Avenue in Deal to report of an assault inside a property.
Officers attended the scene alongside the ambulance service and a man in his 60s was found with a serious head injury.
He died at the scene while paramedics tried to save his life.
His next of kin have been informed.
A 59-year-old man from Deal has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody while inquiries continue.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who has information and who has not yet spoken to officers to contact them. Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcams are also asked to check for relevant footage.
