
A barn in a North Yorkshire village has been broken into and a number of items have been stolen.
The county’s police force said it happened in Main Street, Temple Hirst, between 9pm on Friday, May 15 and 8am on Saturday, May 16.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A number of DeWALT tools, a green electric Surron Light BX off-road bike and a Trek Rosco 7 Mountain Bike were stolen during the incident.
“We’re appealing for any CCTV which may show the offenders attending or leaving the scene and believe that the incident is likely to have occurred closer to 12.30am on Saturday, based on our enquiries so far.
“We are also appealing to anyone that may have information about the stolen items and their whereabouts.
