Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets remain under pressure even as the indices enter the second half of the day’s trade. The Nifty looks under pressure yet again and is now staring down the barrel of a 7th straight day of losses. The Nifty bank index is down over 100 points. SBI Life, Coal India and Tata Steel are the top laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are under pressure and have failed to undo the damage that has piled up since the opening. It is past noon at Dalal Street, and the Indian markets remain under pressure, and the Nifty is down to 24,100. This comes after the index shed over 400 points during its six-day losing streak.
Having broken below key support levels during this period, including 24,500 and 24,200, the bears have now set their sights on the important psychological support of 24,000.
Brent remains above the $ 91-a-barrel mark.
The Nifty Bank is also under pressure, falling over 100 points. The Nifty Bank continues to oscillate between the lower and higher end of the 57,000 – 58,000 range.
As for Nifty, on the upside, the Nifty first needs to break its streak of lower highs by crossing and sustaining above Tuesday’s high of 24,266. Buying has generally emerged closer to the 57,100 – 57,000 zone where it finds itself in yet again.
