Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: On the last day trade this week, we reach the halfway mark. At this point the seesaw of ups and downs, from one session to the other, continues as the markets trade under immense pressure again. The Nifty falls over 300 points, stumbling to 23,900. The Nifty Bank is down 800 points, falling to 54,600. Eternal, Shriram Finance, and Axis Bank are amongst the biggest laggards.
This week so far, the indices have swung as though a pendulum from red to green. The Nifty is down over 300 points, dropping below 23,900. The Sensex index is down over 900 points, shedding its value to below 76,600.
Brent is near the $124 a barrel mark.
The Indian Rupee has hit yet another record low, as the currency falls further, hitting the record low mark of 95.25 against the US dollar.
For Nifty, 24,300 – 24,350 remains a supply zone for the index. The Nifty Bank has fallen significantly, dropping over 800 points. For the banking index, 55,000 on the downside holds the key, while 56,000 – 56,200 on the upside is a supply zone.
HUL reported its results earlier, and the company have been volatile since.
The Nifty needs to close above 23,897 to report a weekly advance. Another result-heavy day beckons with ACC, Adani Ports, Indus Towers, Laurus Labs, and others reporting numbers.
