Bradford has been named one of the top 25 property hotspots in England and Wales.
The ranking comes from new research by conveyancing firm Muve, which placed Bradford 23rd out of 313 local authorities based on affordability, new-build activity, house price growth and transaction volumes.
Bradford’s average house price stands at £188,505 with a 5.7 per cent inflation rate, according to the research.
The study used data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and HM Land Registry.
Yorkshire and the Humber was named the best-performing region, with Hull ranked as the top property hotspot in Yorkshire.
Leeds was identified as one of the UK’s most active areas for housing development.
The city saw 7,187 new-build completions in the past two years, second only to Birmingham’s 8,352.
Leeds also recorded 220 mortgage-backed sales, again behind Birmingham’s 238.
